Geographic coverage
The launch scope is the broader Philadelphia metro. Profiles are grouped into Philadelphia proper, Pennsylvania suburbs and South Jersey. A provider is described by its physical municipality even when its own page uses “Philadelphia” as a market label.
How providers are discovered
We search for practices and hospital programs that publicly state they offer LASIK or another refractive-surgery service in the defined region. Search engines may help discover a provider, but the listing must be supported by an official center, clinician, hospital or health-system source. The initial directory contains 20 profiles and is not yet comprehensive.
Source priority
- Official center location, procedure, pricing and financing pages.
- Official surgeon biographies and hospital or university profiles.
- Pennsylvania and New Jersey professional-license verification systems.
- FDA, National Eye Institute and other authoritative medical sources for educational content.
Map listings, directories and reviews are not used as the sole support for important clinical or commercial facts.
What “verified” means
“Verified” means a fact was found in a cited source on the displayed date. It does not mean BookMyLASIK inspected the center, audited the practice, confirmed a patient outcome or endorsed the provider. “Center-reported” means the information comes from the provider’s own website or material.
Missing and conflicting information
“Not publicly listed” means the reviewed sources did not provide the detail. It must not be read as “No.” When two sources conflict, the profile explains the conflict and uses “Needs confirmation.” We do not guess a suite number, price, device or service.
How comparison works
The directory defaults to neutral alphabetical order. Visitors can compare up to three centers using location, surgeons, procedures, technologies, published price information, consultation fee, financing, follow-up, languages and last verification date. BookMyLASIK does not create an overall quality score or declare a winner.
Review and correction cycle
The current target is to review directory records at least every six months and sooner after a documented correction. That schedule is a launch policy, not a guarantee that every fact remains current between reviews. Each page shows its last-verified date and a path for submitting primary-source corrections.
Commercial separation
All launch listings are free. If sponsored placement is introduced, it will appear in a separately labeled sponsored area and will not change the underlying profile, verification standard or organic alphabetical order. Payment does not determine medical suitability.
